Beirut, November 12, 2121. The popular committees of the southern region of Tyre, in Lebanon, expressed their solidarity with Cuba in the face of attempts to undermine the stability of the Caribbean country, according to a note sent today to Prensa Latina.
The text stresses the confidence and capacity of the Cuban people and leadership to frustrate those maneuvers plotted by the United States with the complicity of suspicious internal right-wing movements.
In the opinion of the Tiro committees, Washington resorts to the strategy of the so-called soft coup under false and deceitful slogans as occurred last July 11 during an attempt similar to that of next November 15.
There are similar calls with the aim of hindering Cuba's recovery in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic which brought more economic difficulties added to those caused by the US government's blockade, the statement denounces. (Embacuba Líbano/Prensa Latina)
