Lebanon represented at the First Virtual Forum for young Cubans living abroad and young people of Cuban descent ("Connecting Roots"), convened by the UJC
On Saturday, July 4, members of the Cuban community living in Lebanon participated in the First Virtual Forum convened by the Young Communist League of Cuba (UJC). The event saw the active participation of around one hundred young Cubans from Cuba and across all continents, representing 44 youth organizations in 32 countries.
The Forum served as an initial space for fraternal dialogue aimed at enriching the debate and defending the Cuban nation through unity and respect.
Participants actively condemned the cruel and genocidal financial, economic, and commercial blockade imposed by the U.S. on Cuba, as well as threats of Yankee military aggression against the Caribbean island. Furthermore, the event reaffirmed the commitment of young Cubans worldwide to unity and frank dialogue with their homeland.
