Lebanon's Minister of Education and Higher Education receives invitation to participate in the 15th International University 2026 Congress and the ISRI 2026 International Seminar
Lebanon's Minister of Education and Higher Education, Rima Karami, received Ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz, who presented her with a letter of invitation from the Minister of Higher Education of Cuba, Walter Baluja García, to participate in the 15th International University 2026 Congress, to be held from February 9 to 13, 2026, at the Convention Center in Havana, Cuba.
The minister thanked the Cuban head of mission for the information provided on this prestigious international event, which will enable the exchange of experiences related to higher education work in order to contribute to innovation and social transformation in our countries.
Both parties agreed that the event constitutes a platform that will contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, for the training of citizens who are skilled and prepared to take on new challenges in pursuit of the safeguarding of the planet and humanity.
This International Congress coincides with the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education and the centenary of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel, who is the main promoter of Cuban higher education.
During the meeting, it was confirmed that the event could be used to assess opportunities for exploring new possibilities for bilateral cooperation in the field of education.
The Lebanese minister finally thanked him for the information and documentation on University 2026 and the invitation to the ISRI 2026 Seminar on International Relations, to be held from April 1 to 3, 2026, at the main venue, the Ambassadors' Hall of the Habana Libre Hotel.
