Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association issued Declaration against the blockade.

Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association expressed its rejection to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US government to Cuba, in a statement last October 29 statement. The initiative, promoted and organized by Liberians graduates in Cuba who are also members of the Organization, was signed on behalf of all by his vicepresident, Bachelor of Physical Culture Kesselee Kanneh, a graduate of the Institute of Physical Culture Comandante Manuel Fajardo of Cuba.

In the document, partners openly qualify the blockade as "a huge violation of human rights and the main obstacle to the development of the economy of the island." Similarly, the Association highlights the steps taken by the Obama administration for the restoration of bilateral relations with the Greater Antilles, while recognizing the extraterritorial nature of the blockade and urge the Congress of the northern power to "put an end this unilateral policy that affects not only Cubans but also to other countries due to fines and prohibitions". In closing paragraph, members of the Association "are sounding our voices again that this unwarranted blockade should seize to exist to give Cuban people the right to improve their standard of life and their economy for present and future generations."
