Saturday October 22th Liberians graduates in Cuba were invited to the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission in that African country. The purpose of the meeting was the celebration of the Day of Cuban Culture.During the meeting, the Second Secretary Carmen Maury referred to the historic passage was genesis of this commemoration and its significance for the people of Cuba.
Graduates meanwhile recalled how, during his stay in the Greater Antilles, that day also served for cultural festivals and sharing with colleagues from other latitudes, examples of typical traditions of their nations. In the words of Gaydo Zawolo, Liberian young graduate of Agronomy in 2015, "that day not only Cuban culture was celebrating, but the culture of the world, because Cuba is a country where all cultures have space and they can express themselves freely."
Charge d'Affaires Yordenis Despaigne, took the opportunity to upgrade to the guests on the actions and initiatives that are taking place in the world, as part of the International Campaign to support Cuba against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed more than 50 years ago by the US government. He also mentioned the presentation, on 26 October, Cuba’s Report against this genocidal and obsolete policy that has been rejected year after year by the international community, as expected most happen this time for twenty fifth occasion.
The appointment was a special time to taste dishes from the typical Cuban food, accompanied with background music of the Greater Antilles.
