Martí present in Saint Lucia, Tribute from the Cuban State Mission

May 19, 2025 - Members of the Cuban State Mission in Saint Lucia commemorated the 130th anniversary of the death in combat of the National Hero, José Martí.

Simple and emotional events were held in the neighborhoods of Vila, Beausejour, Union, and Alize Inn in homage to the most universal of all Cubans.

The Apostle's work reflects his emancipatory and anti-colonial thinking, while also warning of the danger posed by the United States to the lands of Our America. He was the architect of the Cuban Revolutionary Party, an organization that united the combatants who led the necessary war of 1895.

Although Martí died just three months after the war began, the political structure and order that he established contributed to extending the conflict from the east to the west of the national territory.
