Ilok, Croatia, 15 January 2018. On the occasion of the New Year´s Reception hosted by Her Excellency Ms. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, President of the Republic of Croatia to the diplomatic corps accredited to that country, the Cuban Ambassador. His Excellency Mr. Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios exchanged greetings with the President and other Croatian authorities such as H.E Ms. Marija Pejčinović Burić, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Foreign and European Affairs. It was a suitable opportunity to reaffirm the good state of bilateral relations and the willingness to continue strengthening them.
The Cuban Ambassador took the opportunity to thank the Croatian President for the congratulation message sent to the Army General Raúl Castro, President of the Council of States and Ministers on the occasion of the 59th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
Cuba and Croatia celebrated last year the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and they maintain the historical bonds of friendship and cooperation having full potentialities and mutual willingness to increase the ties in the economic and commercial sectors.
