Addis Ababa, September 9, 2026.- To mark the arrival of the Ethiopian New Year 2019, the Embassy of Cuba in Ethiopia welcomed a visit from Ambassador Dr. Meles Alem, Director General for Europe and the Americas at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Cuban Ambassador Meylin Suárez Álvarez shared a message of happiness and unity with the Ethiopian people on this very special occasion.
For his part, the Ethiopian diplomat highlighted the historic bonds of brotherhood uniting both countries—ties that have stood the test of time and continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The event was attended by representatives from Ethiopia’s Ministry of Culture, whose artists performed traditional dances, turning the gathering into an ideal setting for cultural exchange and the reaffirmation of friendship between the peoples of Cuba and Ethiopia.
