Addis Ababa, July 17, 2023. Cuban residents, president of the Association of Friendship between the peoples of Ethiopia and Cuba and journalists from Prensa Latina, speak in support of the delegation representing Cuba at the 2023 People's Summit that takes place in Brussels.
Messages recorded in small video capsules have been tweeted by the official twitter account of the Embassy of Cuba in Ethiopia in which Cuban residents, members of the Friendship Association and journalists of Prensa Latina accredited in the country have expressed their full support to the Cuban delegation that is participating in the Summit.
The messages have highlighted the rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States government on Cuba for more than six consecutive decades. They also highlighted the defense of the summit as a plural space, where the voices of Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe must be heard equally.
Abebe Ayalew, president of the Association of Friendship with Cuba, expressed his absolute support for the Antillean island in its fight against the blockade, as an inalienable right that it has for being an independent and sovereign country.
