The Minister of Justice, Co. Oscar Silvera Martínez, the Cuban delegation that will participate in the Ministerial Drug Segment, in Vienna, presides.

The United Nations Office in Vienna will host, on March 14 and 15, the "Ministerial Segment of the Sixty-Second Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs", which will be attended by more than one Thirty high-level representatives of the States Members of the United Nations.This momentous ministerial appointment will aim to take stock of the implementation of all commitments made by the international community in the previous decade to address and counteract the World Drug Problem.

The delegation that will represent the Government of Cuba in this ministerial event will be headed by the Minister of Justice, Mr. Oscar Manuel Silvera Martínez, and will also be integrated by the Permanent Representative of Cuba to the International Organizations based in Vienna, Ambassador Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios; the Deputy Minister of Justice, Mrs. Lilia María Hernández Doejo; the Secretary of the National Drug Commission, Mr. Antonio Israel Ybarra Suárez; and by members of the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations Office in Vienna and the International Organizations based in Austria.

The Minister of Justice of Cuba will address this important multilateral forum on the morning of Friday, March 15, during the General Debate of the "Ministerial Segment of the Sixty-Second Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs."
It should be noted that the program of the visit of the Minister of Justice to Vienna will also include bilateral activities, among which stands out an official meeting with his counterpart of the Ministry of Constitutional Affairs, Reforms, Deregulation and Justice of Austria, Dr. Josef Moser; as well as an exchange with members of the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association (ÖKG).
