Nepal reaffirms solidarity with Cuba.

Nepalese political forces and organizations reaffirmed their solidarity and friendship with Cuba on the occasion of the visit to this country of Cuban Ambassador Alejandro Simancas Marin, resident in New Delhi.

The Ambassador visited the municipality of Bhaktapur, where he was received by the Mayor of the locality; the chairman of the National Cuba Solidarity Committee, Surendra Raj Gosai; and the chairman of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP), Narayan Man Bijukchhe. In this locality, he visited a hospital where members of the Cuban Medical Brigade that assisted that country after the earthquake in 2015 worked and also participated in a solidarity activity at the Khwopa Engineering University, during which he recognized the work of the National Committee for Solidarity with Cuba with the commemorative medal "60th Anniversary of ICAP".

Other activities were carried out with the Nepal Peace and Solidarity Council (NPSC), whose work was also recognized by ICAP with the commemorative medal and a meeting with members of the "Friends of Cuba" group.

In all cases, the ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation that have united both countries and the feeling of sympathy towards Cuba and the social work of its Revolution were ratified.
