Riyadh, September 19th - The new designated Ambassador of Cuba, Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada, was summoned to the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, to present Copies of his Letters of Credentials to the Deputy Minister for Protocol Affairs, Mr. Khalid Bin Faisal Al-Sehli. The Counselor of the Embassy, Fernando Duque Gomez, also attended the meeting.
Initially, Mr. Al-Sehli welcomed the Cuban diplomat and congratulated him on his appointment as the new Chief of Mission of the Island in the Kingdom.
For his part, the Ambassador conveyed greetings on behalf of the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, to their counterparts, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Majesty Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Highness Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saud, respectively.
He also anticipate congratulations to the Saudi people and government for the celebration on September 23th of the Kingdom's National Day, on its 91st anniversary.
The Cuban Ambassador expressed his full willingness to work to continue promoting bilateral relations between Cuba and the Kingdom in different spheres. The deputy minister reciprocated, stating that for this purpose he will be able to count on all the necessary support from the Saudi Foreign Ministry. (EmbaCuba Arabia Saudita)
