New designated Ambassador of Cuba arrives in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, September 11th - Vladimir González Quesada, the new Cuban Ambassador appointed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, arrived in the early hours of this morning.

Upon arrival at King Khalid International Airport, the diplomat was received by a representative of the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for Protocol, as well as by officials from the Cuban diplomatic mission accredited to the Arab nation.

The new head of mission, who received the corresponding approval from the Saudi authorities on March 24th of this year, intends to continue the work carried out in recent years to promote bilateral relations between Cuba and the Kingdom in the political, economic, commercial and cooperation spheres.

Coincidentally, on September 8th, H.E. Mr. Faisal Falah Al-Harbi presented his credentials as the new Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Island before the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez. For this reason, the beginning of a new stage in the bilateral ties between the two countries, which established diplomatic relations since 1956, is predicted. (EmbaCuba Arabia Saudita)
