New Procedures for Visa applications

Important Information for all travelers to Cuba

Due to the current epidemiological situation in Cuba, you should:

1. Carry a real-time PCR test for SARS Cov2, performed no more than 72 hours before by a certified laboratory in the country of origin.

2. Make the Traveler's Health Declaration (Mod. 82-33-02) (Affidavit of Health) upon arrival in the country.

3. Upon arrival, a period of quarantine must be kept in a designated institution, where the respective PCR tests will be carried out, the first one at the airport.

4. All foreign citizens arriving in Cuba will be isolated for 7 days in hotel institutions designated in each territory, the travelers assuming the costs of stay and transportation.  In the case of tourists, businessmen, technicians, foreign cooperants, foreign diplomatic personnel, foreign press accredited in the Island and official delegations approved to be received during the period, the Protocols approved by the MINTUR, MINCEX and MINREX, respectively, shall be applied. Foreign students and scholarship holders will be isolated in the institutions designated for this purpose by MINSAP and MES.

Based on the epidemiological situation in the country, the procedure for applying for visas is as follows:

Send request via email to: libancub@cyberia.net.lb, specifying the following information:

- In the subject of the email should appear: Visa request + name and surname

- Specify in the body of the message what type of visa you want, for example if it is tourist, family, transit, business, etc.

You will be given an appointment via email to come to the embassy on the day and at the time defined to deliver the passport and the following documents:

 For Lebanese citizens:

- 1. Original valid passport and photocopy.

- 2. One (1) visa photo

- 3. Completed and signed application form. (http://misiones.minrex.gob.cu/sites/default/files/formularios/admin/1_vi...)

- 4. Flight reservation (round trip)

- 5. Hotel reservation (Hotel designated to make isolation)

- 6. Medical insurance that covers COVID19

- 7. To enter Cuba, the result of a PCR-RT test for SARS Cov-2 must be presented, from a certified laboratory in Lebanon and carried out within a period of 72 hours before arrival in Cuba

For non-Lebanese citizens:

- 1. Original valid passport and photocopy.

- 2. One (1) visa photo

- 3. Completed and signed application form.

- 4. Flight reservation (round trip)

- 5. Hotel reservation

- 6. Medical insurance that covers COVID19

- 7. Bank account or a valid Schengen visa

- 8. Permanent residence

- 9. To enter Cuba, the result of a PCR-RT test for SARS Cov-2 must be presented, from a certified laboratory in Lebanon and carried out within a period of 72 hours before arrival in Cuba

This documentation will be collected at the embassy door. The applicant cannot enter to carry out any procedure.

It will be sent to you via email if you were accepted or not for the procedure and if it is positive, a scanned document will be attached so that you can present at any branch of the Fransabank bank to deposit the specified amount and that will depend on the type of visa requested.

Once the money is deposited, the consular office will proceed to grant the visa and you will be informed via email of the day and time you can pick it up.

Important notes:

- The Tourist Visa will be valid for 1 month from the day you enter Cuba.

- Visas that are not tourism will have an expiration date and in case of not being able to travel in the period granted, you must apply for a new visa.
