The Honorable Speaker of the Liberian Parliament, Mr. Richard Nagbe Koon, extended an official greeting to the Ambassador of Cuba, H.E. Indira López Arguelles.
The Cuban diplomat addressed the Speaker regarding the strengthening of the United States government's policy of hostility and blockade toward the island, as well as the resistance and commitment of its people to maintain their sovereignty and self-determination. The Ambassador expressed her gratitude for the support of the African Union and Liberia's vote in favor of lifting the blockade.
The Speaker, for his part, reiterated his people's support for peace and the full existence of nations, and their support for the Cuban people, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect, peace, and trade between nations.
