Monrovia, October 30, 2024 - Today, after two days of deliberation in which the representatives of the member countries of the UN General Assembly unequivocally expressed their rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba since 1962, the international community demanded, for the thirty-second consecutive time, an end to this unilateral imposition.
Every year since 1992, this violation of the United Nations Charter has been contested. Today's resolution received 187 votes in favor, 2 against and 1 abstention.
On this important day, there is nothing better than to receive the overwhelming support of the international community for the Cuban draft resolution against the US blockade and the congratulations of the Liberia-Cuba solidarity group for such a resounding victory.
Thank you Liberia!
