Paintings by renowned Cuban painters Amelia Pelaez and Rene Portocarrero represented Cuba at the Collage Art Carnival AAMANTRANA 2024, at the gallery of the National Academy of Art of India, Lalit Kala Akademi. The exhibition was organized by the Delhi College of Art and included works by renowned Indian artists and students, as well as a sample of foreign artists.
The Charge d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy in Delhi, Abel Aballe Despaigne visited the exhibition, where he exchanged with participating students. He also held a meeting with the founder and director of the Delhi College of Art, Ashwani Kumar Prithviwasi. Both agreed on the interest in exploring opportunities for cooperation between Cuba and the College in order to approach students to Cuban culture.
The exhibition will be open to the public until May 20.
