Palestine joins and calls for the broadest international campaign of solidarity with Venezuela and to demand the release of President Maduro
Ali Faisal, vice president of the Palestinian National Council and deputy secretary general of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, called for the broadest campaign of solidarity of the peoples of the world with Venezuela, first and foremost the Palestinian people and all its components, against US aggression and to demand the release of President Maduro.
He also condemned once again this aggression against the sovereignty of the Bolivarian Republic, its people, and its leaders, and the kidnapping of the brave President Maduro, who opposes US imperialism and supports the Palestinian people and those fighting for freedom around the world.
This was done in an interview with the Lebanese radio station Voice of the People and in a message to the World Conference of the Parties, attended by more than 1,300 people at the invitation of the Socialist Party of Venezuela.
Ali Faisal effusively praised Venezuela's support for the Palestinian people and their president in their struggle for self-determination, including the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, the return of refugees, and against Israel's fascist war of extermination.
He warned against Netanyahu's exploitation of US aggression to continue his war against the Palestinian people and the peoples and countries of the region, with US support, to build a Greater Israel and restructure the region within the framework of the New Middle East project, which guarantees the shared colonial interests of the US and Israel.
He reiterated his call on international institutions to assume their responsibilities to condemn the aggression against Venezuela and to prevent any new aggression and guarantee its freedom and that of its president, in accordance with international law, agreements, conventions, and legitimacy, which Trump violated by putting US law above all other laws to unilaterally determine the fate of the world.
He also denounced the US president's threats against Cuba, Colombia, Nicaragua, and other countries around the world.
He concluded by affirming his confidence in the resilience of the Venezuelan people and their leadership, as well as in the support of freedom-loving peoples around the world, to thwart the objectives of the aggression, which threatens not only Venezuela but also the security, stability, sovereignty, independence, and freedom of the peoples of the world.
