Palestinian graduates in Cuba salute the 67th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks

Beirut, July 27, 2020. The league of Palestinian graduates in Cuba today congratulated the Cuban people and their Revolution on the 67th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.

The text sent to the Cuban embassy in Lebanon indicates that on that day the long and hard road to total independence of the Cubans, led by the leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, was restarted.

Celebrating that date, the Day of National Rebellion in Cuba, says the note, is a nationalist, solidary, internationalist act and ratifies our commitment to the friendly nation.

The principles defended by Fidel Castro, he adds, constitute an example and a guide for those who fight the Zionist occupation, the Jewish settlements, racism, colonialism, neocolonialism and imperialism.

And also for those who fight for the freedom, independence and sovereignty of their countries, the message says.

The Palestinian people thank the Cuban Revolution for its firm position of defense in the battle against the Israeli occupier and in favor of a free, independent, sovereign Palestine with Jerusalem its capital.

Likewise, the league of Palestinian graduates in Cuba condemns the unjust, criminal and cruel economic, commercial and financial blockade to which the United States has subjected the Caribbean nation since 1962. (Embacuba Libano/PL)
