Beirut, April 22, 2021. The League of Palestinian graduates in Cuba today condemned the US blockade against the Caribbean nation in a message accessed by Prensa Latina in this capital.
'We are aware and witnesses of the sufferings due to the economic, commercial and financial siege imposed by Washington on Cubans since 1962', the missive reads.
Cuba is recognized for its moral and human stature, it adds, defined by its selfless solidarity that overrides a recent decision by the White House to include it on the list of sponsors of terrorism, the letter denounces.
The blockade is unjust, inhumane and unjustified, it states, aimed at causing hunger and disease, despite which Cuban scientists have materialized vaccines against Covid-19 that have so far been successful in the advanced clinical trials phase.
The Palestinian group's communication also honors the 60th anniversary of the Cuban triumph against the US-engineered invasion at Playa Girón and the election of Miguel Díaz-Canel as head of the Communist Party. (Embacuba Líbano/Prensa Latina)
