Palestinians in Lebanon reaffirm support for Cuba in the fight against the blockade and denounce the militarization of the Caribbean by the United State of America
Ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz received a delegation led by Ali Faisal, vice president of the Palestinian National Council and deputy secretary of the FDLP, who reaffirmed support for Cuba against the siege of the US empire and praised Cuba's position of support and solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
The Palestinian leader emphasized support for Cuba, Venezuela, and Colombia in the face of the militarization of the Caribbean by U.S.A. military forces, which constitutes a violation of international law and a serious threat to stability, security, and peace in that region.
Faisal provided a comprehensive and detailed update on the genocidal war and ethnic cleansing being carried out against the Palestinians. In addition, during the meeting it became clear that imperialist plans aim to use intimidation and genocidal aggression to appropriate the natural resources of countries and subjugate peoples to the supremacist designs of the US and Israel.
Also present were Palestinian leaders Arkan Badr, Khalidat Hussein, and Suhail Al-Natur, who joined in expressing gratitude for Cuba's proven solidarity in support of the establishment of a sovereign and independent Palestinian state, with its pre-1967 borders and Jerusalem as its capital, as well as the right of return for Palestinian refugees.
