Beirut, March 31, 2019. The president of the International Relations Committee of the Lebanese Parliament, Yassine Jaber, received his Cuban counterpart Yolanda Ferrer Gómez, who heads a parliamentary delegation that completes a work visit to Lebanon.
During the friendly meeting, were reviewed the historical relations of friendship between both countries and the coincidence of points of view on the main topics in the international arena.
Both deputies expressed the will to continue developing and strengthening relations at the parliamentary level, as well as coordination in international events.
Ferrer reiterated the invitation to the President of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berry to visit Cuba, and extended it to his counterpart Jaber. The occasion was favorable to thank the historic support of Lebanon for the struggle of the Cuban people for the lifting of the blockade.
On the part of Yassin Jaber he praised Cuba's resistance against the hostility and aggressiveness of Washington, whose policy reaches as far away as the Middle East, which he illustrated with the recent decisions of President Donald Trump to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights in Syria and Jerusalem..
