Namibia, July 4th, 2022. – Mr. Paul Shipale, Director of the Office of the Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation Dr. Sam Nujoma, received officials Aldo Luis Fuentes Acosta and Rodolfo Ricardo Guzmán, Second Secretary and Counselor of the Embassy of Cuba in Namibia, at the headquarters of the Sam Nujoma Foundation.

The meeting took place within the framework of the activities for the culmination and beginning of functions of officials Fuentes Acosta and Ricardo Guzmán, respectively.

At the meeting, Mr. Shipale, a former student to Cuba, recalled aspects of the intimate friendship that united Dr. Nujoma with the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.

Mr. Shipale also made reference to the altruistic work of Cuba in the formation of young Africans on the Island. He recounted some anecdotes of his years on the Isle of Youth.

The Cuban diplomats explained the epidemiological situation in Cuba and the effects on the national economy caused by the strengthening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States. Shipale reiterated his country's solidarity with Cuba and condemned the aggressive US policy.

At the end of the meeting, the Namibian executive wished Fuentes Acosta a pleasing return to his country and welcomed Ricardo Guzmán.
