Addis Ababa, September 11, 2025.- On the night of September 11, Fernando González Llort, President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) and Hero of the Republic of Cuba arrived in Addis Ababa, capital of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, to carry out an official visit to this brotherly African nation.
The prominent Cuban leader is accompanied by Yahimi Rodríguez Flores, ICAP’s Director for Africa, as part of a work agenda that includes meetings with Ethiopian authorities and members of solidarity with Cuba.
During their stay in Ethiopia, the Cuban delegation is expected to strengthen the historic ties of friendship and solidarity that unite both peoples.
The visit of Fernando González Llort is of special significance, as it reaffirms Cuba’s determination to continue promoting relations of friendship and cooperation with Africa, a region with which it shares deep historical and cultural ties.
