President of the Lebanese Republic receives greetings and best wishes from Cuban ambassador on the occasion of the new year 2026
The President of the Lebanese Republic, General Joseph Aoun, received members of the accredited diplomatic corps at the Presidential Palace, offering them a warm welcome on the occasion of receiving and presenting best wishes for prosperity in the new year 2026.
In his speech, he thanked the Apostolic Nuncio, Monsignor Paolo Borgia, in his capacity as Dean, for his words and congratulations. On behalf of the accredited Diplomatic Corps, Monsignor Borgia thanked the ambassadors for the support and solidarity that their respective countries have shown to Lebanon.
President Aoun interacted with the heads of missions in attendance, and Cuban Ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz took advantage of a brief exchange with the Lebanese president to express, on behalf of the Cuban government and people, his best wishes for prosperity and progress for the government and people of the country of the cedars.
