President of the Liberian Chamber of Commerce Receives Cuban Ambassador

The Liberian Chamber of Commerce, a non-governmental organization comprised of 200 companies and a coordinating body for its counterparts of various nationalities operating in the country, received a visit from the Cuban Ambassador, Dr. Indira López Arguelles.

The diplomat, received by its President, Hon. Nattis Davis, presented to the institution the economic history of Cuba, the origin and impact of the U.S. trade, economic, and financial embargo against the island, as well as the main transformations taking place in the economic and commercial sphere in Havana.

For his part, Hon. Nattis outlined the essential characteristics of Liberian entrepreneurship and presented the priorities for investment and trade in Monrovia.

Both discussed the various areas in which Cuba and Liberia could promote joint collaborative projects.
