Remembrance Day in Guyana.

Guyana, Georgetown, November 9, 2025. The Ambassador of Cuba to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, Jorge Francisco Soberón Luis, participated alongside representatives of the accredited diplomatic corps in the country and government authorities in the ceremony honoring those fallen in the First and Second World Wars. During the ceremony, the Cuban Ambassador laid a wreath.

In his speech, President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali urged world leaders to unite against terrorism, oppression, and injustice. The Head of State recalled that the sacrifices made by the brave men and women of the two World Wars, as well as those who continue to serve in defense of peace and sovereignty, should inspire a collective determination to preserve global stability and human dignity.
