Saint Sauveur, August 14, 2018: As part of the preparatory actions for the 16th edition of the Authentic Cuban Festival that takes place in the city of Saint Sauveur, province of Quebec, a press conference was held with the participation of important local media. Mrs. Caroline Vinet, Counselor and Alternate Mayor; Mr. Jean Beaulieu, General Director, and Pierre Urquhart, Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism of the city. The Cuban part was represented by Carmen Casal, Minister of Tourism of Cuba in Quebec who shared with the attendees about the new developments of Cuban tourism.
During the Conference, the program of the event was unveiled on August 31, September 1, 2 and 3 and includes the presentation of several Cuban music groups, tasting a typical food, Cuban cocktails, handicrafts, and tourism. The Authentic Cuban Party that takes place annually in the city of Saint Sauveur is a great showcase to present Cuba and it is estimated that some 50,000 people attend.
