Addis Ababa, September 1, 2025.- This Monday, the Second Climate Week (CW2) kicked off in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. CW2 is a global platform that drives climate action by bringing together governments, experts, financial institutions, civil society and youth to turn commitments into concrete actions.
Cuba is represented by a delegation from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), to which specialists from the AZCUBA Sugar Group will join in the coming days. Their participation reaffirms the country’s commitment to fulfilling its climate obligations.
CW2 precedes the Second Africa Climate Summit (ACS2), which will also be held in the Ethiopian capital. The outcomes of Climate Week will provide key technical and strategic inputs to strengthen regional positions ahead of the upcoming COP30.
