Secretary General of the Lebanese Communist Party Visits Cuba
The member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Roberto Morales Ojeda, received the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Lebanon (PCL), Hanna Gharib, in a meeting that reinforced the ties of solidarity between both organizations.
During the meeting, the Cuban official discussed the role of the Party in the difficult situation the country is going through, and expressed his gratitude for the support of the CLP against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US government.
Morales Ojeda emphasized the importance of solidarity with the Arab peoples and the Palestinian struggle, stating that "every act of solidarity with the Palestinian people is a duty for us".
In response to the archipelago's support, the visitor affirmed that Cuba is highly valued by its people, since "they have done for us and for Palestine what many have not done until today".
He also thanked the Caribbean Island for its support in the training of young professionals from his country, and expressed his desire to strengthen the relationship between the two parties.
