Namibia, June 28th, 2022.- Mr. Ephraim Nekongo, general secretary of the SWAPO Youth League received officials Aldo Luis Fuentes Acosta and Rodolfo Ricardo Guzmán, Second Secretary and Counsellor of the Embassy of Cuba in Namibia, due to the culmination and beginning of functions of both officials in this African country.
The fraternal meeting took place at the headquarters of SWAPO Party, a former national liberation movement and the current ruling party in Namibia.
During the meeting, the youth leader referred to the excellent state of relations between his organization and the Young Communists League of Cuba. Nekongo expressed his desire to strengthen the links between both youth organizations.
The parties exchanged on relevant aspects of the reality of their respective countries. In particular, the Cuban diplomats updated on the negative impact of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States on the daily life of the Cuban people.
Mr. Nekongo recognized the work done by Fuentes Acosta with the SWAPO Youth League and gave a warm welcome to Ricardo Guzmán.
