Solidarity Caravan for Cuba Travels Through the Streets of Nassau

Nassau, September 17, 2026. – The streets of Nassau became the setting for a new expression of solidarity with Cuba this Sunday, as a caravan travelled through different parts of the Bahamian capital to voice opposition to the tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba.

The initiative brought together cuban residents in The Bahamas, friends of Cuba, and members of the Cuban Mision, who joined in a show of support for the Cuban people and in a call for respect for Cuba’s right to live in peace.

Participants travelled through the city displaying Cuban flags and messages of solidarity, bringing to the streets of Nassau the call for an end to measures that have affected the Cuban people for decades. The caravan also provided an opportunity to reaffirm the longstanding bonds of friendship between Cuba and The Bahamas and the spirit of solidarity that connects the two peoples.

The event also took place as Cuba commemorates the anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDRs), an organization that reflects popular participation and the spirit of solidarity that has long characterized Cuban society.

From The Bahamas, Cubans and Bahamian friends once again sent a clear message: Cuba is not alone. Solidarity continues to build bridges between our peoples and to stand alongside the Cuban people in the face of the difficulties caused by the blockade.

Cuba is not a threat; the blockade is.
