Solidarity with Cuba was on full display in Montreal.
United by their love and solidarity for Cuba, various organizations, solidarity groups, and Cuban residents gathered in the Canadian city of Montreal to welcome Cuba’s new Consul General, Yamari Pérez, and reaffirm their support for the Cuban Revolution.
During the event, which was also dedicated to Army General Raúl Castro Ruz in the context of his 95th birthday, participants highlighted the legacy of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, emphasizing the deep respect and affection the Cuban people hold for him.
Participants also denounced the aggressive and hostile policy of the current U.S. administration, which seeks to suffocate the island through unilateral coercive measures that cause suffering and severe hardships for the Cuban people.
The Québec-Cuba Solidarity Roundtable called for broader promotion of the “I Sign for Cuba” campaign and presented the Consul General with a copy of the letter addressed to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in support of the Caribbean island.
