Solidarity with Cuba in the Indian state of Odisha.

The Communist Party of India (CPI) and the Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship (ISCUF) ratified their close relationship of solidarity with Cuba and its Revolution, during a meeting held in the Indian state of Odisha, where the Cuban Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas Marin, was present.

As part of the conference of the Communist Party in this state, and also with the participation of members of ISCUF, this meeting of friendship and solidarity was held, in which the Head of International Relations of the Party, Pallab Sangupta, and the General Secretary of ISCUF, Bijay Kumar, intervened. Both highlighted the figure of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, whose first visit to India was recently commemorated on its 49th anniversary. They also condemned the US blockade and demanded its lifting.

The Cuban Ambassador, for his part, expressed his gratitude for the numerous expressions of solidarity and friendship and ratified the will to continue strengthening relations with both friendly organizations.
