Port of Spain, March 23 .- The president of "Friends of Cuba in Trinidad and Tobago" Clyde Callender held a cordial meeting with Guillermo Vázquez Moreno, Cuban ambassador and Alex González García, first secretary of the Embassy, in the which was exchanged ideas and information on several of the activities that the solidarity movement with Cuba organizes for the current year.
Cuba's friend, Clyde Callender, reaffirmed the commitment of the Trinidadian solidarity movement in support of Cuba and its Revolution. The movement presided by Callender, actively integrated by more than a hundred members of various social and political organizations in Trinidad and Tobago, expressed thes intention to celebrate events in commemoration of the 56th Anniversary of “Bay of Pigs” Victory, the 61st Anniversary of the Moncada´s Assault and the traditional floral offering to the victims of crime in Barbados. It was also known that "Friends of Cuba in Trinidad and Tobago" envisage their participation in the brigade for "Por los caminos del Che" organized by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) in tribute to Commander Ernesto Che Guevara in 50 Anniversary of his vile murder. Callender confirmed that this program of activities is an essential part of the contribution of the organization of solidarity with Cuba to the defense of Cuba and to the unity of the Caribbean and Latin American peoples.
