Monrovia, July 22, 2022.- Responding to an invitation made by the Embassy of South Africa in Monrovia, members of the Cuban Embassy in the West African country participated in the celebration of the National Day of the Republic of South Africa.
The occasion was propitious to remember Nelson Mandela, leader of South Africa and the entire African continent who fought against apartheid and became the symbol of freedom and justice for millions of human beings.
At the event, Cuban Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera had the opportunity to exchange with those present about the great friendship between Mandela and Cuban leader Fidel Castro Ruz.
The celebration was attended by members of the diplomatic corps and members of the South African community in Liberia.
