Statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba

On September 9 and 10, 2024, experts from the governments of Cuba and the United States held a seminar and a table exercise as part of the implementation of the Cuba-U.S. Bilateral Coordination Plan on pollution preparedness and response caused by oil spills and other potentially hazardous substances in the Gulf of Mexico and the Straits of Florida. These exchanges respond to the Cooperation Agreement on the subject, signed between the two countries on January 9, 2017.
