More than 500 students, between the ages of 9 and 14, from five public schools in Hyderabad, capital of the Indian state of Telangana in southern India, participated in a painting competition organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba. The students were inspired by Cuban culture to develop their creative capacity on the occasion of National Culture Day, to be celebrated next October 20 in our country, date on which the 154th anniversary of the first singing of the National Anthem will be commemorated.
During three days, the students were able to present their works, which were of high artistic quality and reflected characteristic elements of Cuban culture. Afterwards, they enjoyed the Cuban film "Habanastation", by Cuban director Ian Padrón, which was very well received by the young audience.
