Superintendent of Grand Bassa county visits Cuban Embassy in Monrovia

The Superintendent of Grand Bassa county, Honorable Mr. Karyou Johnson, in reciprocation of the visit of Ambassador Dr. Indira López Arguelles, paid a courtesy meeting to the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia.

Honorable Johnson reiterated the Liberian people's support for sovereignty and self-determination as the basis for his country's vote against the U.S. blockade of Cuba, and outlined the areas of development in his county that could potentially be the subject of bilateral cooperation.

From her part, the Cuban Ambassador, in addition to updating the Superintendent on the situation in Cuba and the island's forms of cooperation, thanked the Liberian people and government for their support of Cuba, and reiterated Havana's willingness to strengthen bilateral ties.
