Port Lois, January 4, 2026 - The Mauritius-Cuba Friendship Association today strongly condemned the US aggression against Venezuela and the kidnapping of its President, Nicolás Maduro.
The statement from the solidarity organization in the Indian Ocean Republic condemns Washington's act of savagery and barbarism against the sovereign nation of South America.
We consider the subsequent kidnapping of President Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, an extremely illegal act that must not go unpunished, stated the document from the Mauritius-Cuba Friendship Association, signed by its president, Mike Goddoy.
We join forces, it added, with the peoples of the world to demand the immediate release of the president.
That country has every right to defend itself, and the struggle for dignity and self-determination must continue, the statement concluded, calling for "Hands off Venezuela" and "Long live the Bolivarian Revolution!"
