Obaid by telephone to Moraga: We condemn the US actions against Cuba... "The real terrorism is the occupation, racism, extremism and their sponsors."
Beirut, January 18, 2021. The dean of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party, Kasar Obeid, considered that the sanctions imposed by the US administration on countries, parties, institutions and individuals do not respect international laws and statutes, and that they enshrine the law of the jungle and logic of arrogance and tyranny.
During his telephone conversation with the Cuban ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, Obaid highlighted that the US administration's decision to include Cuba on the United States "black list" of countries sponsors of terrorism is a flagrant attack on a Sovereign country, which has always stood in favor of just causes in the world, and alongside Palestine and the legitimate resistance against occupation and aggression.
Obaid pointed out that the current US administration, due to its policies of supporting terrorism and sponsorship of all racist practices, has placed the United States in an unjustified confrontation with many countries and peoples that exercise the right to legitimate defense of their land and sovereignty. These policies, which were followed by the US administration, posed a threat to international peace and security.
Obaid concluded: we emphasize the need to respect the sovereignty of states and the will of their peoples, we affirm our full solidarity with the Republic of Cuba, we strongly condemn the measures against it, and we reject the criteria established by the US administration to classify terrorism.
