In the early hours of Thursday, 30April 2020, an unknown individual opened fire with an assault weapon against the building of the Embassy of Cuba in the United States. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba published a Note on the matter asking the US government to investigate the serious incident and to adopt appropriate steps to protect the premises of diplomatic missions accredited to that country.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba H.E. Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla delivered statement on the attack against the Embassy and providided details of his conversation with the Chargé d´Affairs of the US Embassy in Havana who was summoned to the Ministry on this matter.
The Embassy of Cuba in Ethiopia express its solidarity with the colleagues at teh Cuban Mnission in the US and fully supported the call of the authorities of the country to seek full investigation and justice on this dangerous episode.
