The Cuban Embassy in India paid tribute to Ernesto Che Guevara, the heroic guerrilla fighter, on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of his fall in Bolivia. During the event, the relevance of his revolutionary, solidarity and internationalist thinking was highlighted, which is still valid and continues to inspire new generations in the struggle for the defense of just causes. It was also recalled his work in the establishment of the relations between Cuba and India; and the bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation that characterized them for more than 60 years.
Important moments of his life and work were evoked with the reproduction of two chapters of the documentary series "Che en la Memoria", of the Center for the Study of Che in Cuba.
The event was attended by the Ambassador of Venezuela, Coromoto Godoy; Pallab Sengupta, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India; Sonya Gupta, Secretary General of the Indian Peace and Solidarity Organization (AIPSO); as well as professors and students from Jamia Millia Islamia, Jawaharlal Nehru and O.P. Jindal Global Universities.
