Port of Spain, October 20, 2022. The group of the diplomatic mission together with representatives of the Cuban Medical Brigade, Cuban residents, the "Trinidad and Tobago Friends of Cuba" Solidarity Association and young graduates in our country, celebrated the National Culture Day. The intonation of the notes of our National Anthem occupied a leading space in the celebration whose origins were explained in detail by one of the Cuban residents.
Likewise, the occasion was propitious to talk about the emergence of the Cuban nation and nationality, a story that was told in the songs, poems and interventions made by some of the participants and that reflected our pride in being Cuban. The plastic arts, the emergence of the Cuban Nueva Trova, the special tribute paid to our artists and writers adorned the celebration even more, which was also accompanied by the cultural dance tour carried out and by the interpretation of musical genres that identify our nation.
The unison interpretation of the poem Mi Bandera by Bonifacio Byrne and Guantanamera, served to close with a flourish the heartfelt tribute to our nation that has formed and prepared us to be good men and women regardless of gender, race, creed or religion, a nation to which we owe ourselves eternally.
