Addis Ababa, September 17, 2025.- At the Cuban Embassy in Addis Ababa, the assignment forms were signed today for Nhial Gatwech Tap and Nyagua Elijah Bany, two young from South Sudan who will soon travel to Havana to begin their medical studies at the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM).
Cuban Ambassador Meylin Suárez Álvarez shared this moving moment, which symbolizes the continuation of the dream of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, who conceived ELAM as a work of love and hope for the peoples of the world.
Very soon, these students will travel to the Island to begin a journey of study, dedication, and commitment to the health of their communities, carrying with them the hope of thousands who believe in education as an instrument of justice and equity.
