The Ukrainian-Russia false flag

By Arnold August, Canadian journalist and author of the book Fidel Castro: La Vision de un Canadiense

The allegations by the U.S. that Cuba is militarily involved in the Ukraine-Russia conflict are entirely false. There is no factual proof at all.  On the contrary, the Cuban MINREX statement on this issue indicates that the Cuban government had already taken steps to prevent any Cuban nationals in Cuba who had allowed themselves to become involved, even in their own name, as a personal choice, from interfering in the conflict.

The allegation is thus a false flag hoisted by the Trump administration. Its goal is to serve as a pretext to increase the pressure against Cuba further. However, Cuba has experience with false flags going back to 1898. At that time, the mysterious explosion of the USS Maine was falsely blamed on Spain. The American yellow press coined the slogan « Remember the Maine; Blame it on Spain! » This paved the way for the U.S. to interfere in the Cuban Independence struggle against Spain by usurping the impending Cuban victory into the U.S. neo-colonial grab of Cuba. However, this verdict was overturned by the 1959 Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, led by its Historic Leader, Fidel Castro.

In more recent times, we also saw Washington float a « Sonic Sound » false flag in the U.S. Embassy in Havana. Likewise, it served as an excuse to ratchet up the blockade against Cuba. However, this did not defeat the Cuban Revolution.

Nor does the current Trump Administration’s further ratcheting up of the blockade, despite the entire world (aside from the U.S. and Israel) registering its vocal annual opposition to the blockade in the United Nations General Assembly.

However, the current Russia-Ukraine false flag is one of the most dangerous since 1959. It is taking place when the U.S. is preparing for a possible military intervention against Venezuela to overthrow the Bolivarian Revolution and President Maduro under the « drug cartel » false flag. Some of the modern American yellow press is promoting the view that « after Venezuela, Cuba is next. »

Thus, the peoples and governments of the world must, more than ever, stand for the right of sovereignty and self-determination of the countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
