Vaccination against Covid19 available for international travelers in Cuba

Vaccination against Covid19 available for international travelers in Cuba.

Kingston, Jamaica, 21 March 2022. Now you can go to Cuba and get vaccinated against Covid19!

The vaccine can be received in all the touristic hotspots of the country. Cost of the immunization depends on whether you need the complete program (3 doses) or only a booster shot. A printed vaccination certificate and a QR code for electronic verification is handed over to the recipient afterwards. The three approved Cuban vaccines (Sobrerana 2, Abdala and Soberana Plus) are available for use.

Cuban Medical Services is the institution in Cuba handling these requests. Since proof of full vaccination is necessary for travelling to Cuba, if you are unvaccinated and plan to get the vaccine in Cuba, you need to obtain a waiver from Cuban Medical Services before travel, to show it at check-in and on arrival in Cuba.

Cuban Medical Services can be contacted via comentario@smcsalud.cu, medico1.smi@smcsalud.cu, and these phone numbers: +5372096977 / +5372035837 / +5372031590.

Also, they work in partnership with local agencies. In the case of Jamaica, there are three agencies that have contracts with them:

  • Caribbean and Latin Travel (Kingston) +18769063140.
  • Cuban Medical and Wellness Services (Montego Bay) +18763967336 / +18763036956.
  • CubaHeal Caribbean (Kingston), as a subsidiary of Canadian agency CubaHeal +18765297866.

You can contact one of these agencies and they will explain what you need to provide and help you make the arrangements.
