Vice-President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples initiates visit to Austria and Slovenia

The Vice-President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP, by its Spanish initials), Noemí Rabaza Fernández arrived in Vienna as head of a delegation from ICAP to carry out an extensive working program in Austria and to participate in the European Solidarity Meeting with Cuba to be held from 23 to 25 November in Bohinj, Slovenia.

On her arrival in Austria she was received by the Ambassador of Cuba, His Excellency Mr. Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios and by the General Secretary of "ÖKG", the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association, Hermann Pernestorfer.

During its visit to Austria, which will run until 22 November, the ICAP delegation will hold meetings with the Federal Board of Directors of ÖKG and its branch of Lower Austria Region. The members of the delegation will also be received by federal members of the Parliament and leaders of the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ by its German initials), the Labour Party (PdA, by its German initials) and the Austrian Trade Union Confederation (ÖGB, by its German initials).

The delegation will also participate in the tribute to the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz in Vienna on 21 November on the occasion of the second anniversary of his physical death.

The visit of ICAP delegation to Austria and Slovenia is also an encouragement to the solidarity work of the Friendship Associations with Cuba in these countries.
