Havana, September 18, 2024.- The Vice President of the Republic of Cuba, Salvador Valdés Mesa, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, received on Wednesday His Excellency Mr. Ayele Lire Jijamo, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, who presented the Letters of Credence that accredit him as Ambassador of Ethiopia to the Government of the Republic of Cuba.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Ayele conveyed to the Cuban Vice President a message of good wishes from the President of Ethiopia, Sahle-Work Zewde and Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed.
For his part, Vice President Valdés Mesa declared Cuba's commitment to strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations with Ethiopia.
Ambassador Ayele assured that he will work to take the current relationship to a higher level by recalling the historical relationship between the two countries.
