The journey to Havana of the 10 trucks which collect solid urban waste, donated by the city of Vienna to the Cuban capital, begins as part of the celebrations for the 500th anniversary of the Foundation of the village of San Cristóbal de La Habana.
The farewell ceremony was organized by the Viennese administration, in one of the facilities in charge of waste management, street cleaning and the vehicle fleet.
The Ambassador of Cuba, H.E. Mr. Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios, thanked Vienna´s city hall, for such an important donation, that adds up to and complements the immense efforts and all the work underway in Havana to make the Cuban capital a cleaner, more real and wonderful city. He also highlighted the historic cooperation between Havana and Vienna.
